Dan and his son did an afternoon of perch fishing at Mary Moore Searight Metropolitan Park in Austin, TX. While no perch were caught, spending the afternoon together is what counts!
Dan and Brian headed out early to the Narrows on Lake Travis, with high hopes for catching some fish. No fish were caught but at least the scenery was beautiful!
Dan and Brian did some fly fishing over lunch at Mckinney Falls State Park in Austin, TX. On this trip they chose the Lower Falls Section of the park. Lots of perch were caught on the fly that day!
Dan, Paul, Randy and Butch set out from Castaway Marina to do some crappie fishing on Lake Conroe. We were not disappointed with the results!
Dan, Chris, Danny, Adam, Jon, Michael and Stan took to the river this weekend on their first overnight kayak camping trip. Launching from Little Webberville Park in Webberville, TX, it took them 38 hours to travel the 22 miles to the FM 969 take out.
Bass, catfish and perch where caught on a variety of lures and baits. The water flow was below 3000 cfpm on Saturday but rose to over 4500 on Sunday. This river fluctuation forced us to move our camp in the middle of the night.
"Camp Island" was inhabited by a very angry llama which forced us to travel upstream to a much smaller and lower island. If you meet Dan sometime, ask him about the llama!
